Discussion Labs

Introduction to Discussion Labs

Exploring complex ideas while perfecting your English

The Discussion Labs are small-group sessions designed for professionals who want to refine their English while engaging with thought-provoking themes. Each lab blends advanced language practice with open, intelligent discussion, exploring how we think, work, and communicate in today’s world.

Conversation meets reflection

Labs are guided conversations, a space to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and experiment with language in context. Topics for reflection include AI, generations in the workplace, and the media. Tailor-made Discussion Labs can also be created.

Language growth through engagement

Participants sharpen fluency, accuracy, and nuance while expressing complex opinions and analysing ideas that matter in their fields.

Format and participation

6 hours (4 × 1.5-hour sessions) · online or in person · 1–4 participants

  • Five people working on laptops around a wooden table in a cozy room with wood-paneled walls, some wearing headphones, appearing focused on their tasks.

    Reflections on AI

    Overview

Explore how AI is reshaping how we think, work, and communicate. Through guided discussion, reflection, and collaborative debate, participants examine both the practical and philosophical sides of AI, and its impact on decision-making, creativity, and human judgement.

The Lab invites professionals to reflect on how emerging technologies shape leadership, collaboration, and everyday communication. We move between real-world examples and broader reflections on human adaptability, ethics, and the balance between efficiency and understanding.

    What happens in the Lab

Each session blends focused language refinement with open conversation. Participants engage with curated readings, short clips, and workplace examples, where they develop the confidence to discuss complex ideas clearly, spontaneously, and persuasively in English.

    Key themes

  • Tailor made Reflections

    Overview

Every group has unique perspectives on a myriad of issues.

The most productive conversations often arise when participants help define the focus themselves.

In collaboration, we can develop a Discussion Lab built around the questions your team is already asking, turning everyday experience into a structured exploration in English.
